IMG Citrus Refrigerated Distribution Facility Inauguration

IMG Citrus Refrigerated Distribution Facility Inauguration

On October 16th, 2014, IMG Citrus welcomed Florida Governor Rick Scott, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie and Commissioner of Agriculture Adam Putnam along with over 100 community and industry leaders to celebrate the inauguration of the new Refrigerated Distribution Facility.  It was a powerful event that demonstrated IMG Citrus’ leadership and commitment to the future of the Florida citrus industry.  It was also an opportunity for IMG Citrus and the industry to show gratitude and support to the Florida Legislative Cabinet which has already allocated $12 million to research a cure for Citrus Greening.

The high profile event was a testimony to the support that the Florida citrus has from state leaders and their belief that we play a vital role in the future of Florida’s economy.

At the event, Commissioner of Agriculture Adam Putnam reminded everyone that:

“Our industry is a global industry. Florida is a global sterling brand. Florida represents quality, opportunity, the land of hope and the land of sunshine.”

Similarly, our CEO Michel Sallin stated:

several companies like IMG Citrus keep investing in the citrus industry. We just built this new Refrigerated Distribution Facility and this year again, we will plant 45,000 young grapefruit trees. We believe in the Florida citrus industry because we have the best grapefruit in the world.
